저의 지극히 개인적인 이야기입니다^^;;
기록으로 좀 남기고 싶어서 이런 글을 올리게 되었습니다.
A: Hey, I heard you're feeling stressed about the English lecture for your interview. Don't worry, you're an amazing instructor! Just be confident and show them how great you are.
Me: Actually, at the previous academy, I taught my students in Korean. I wanted to teach them some content in English, but I couldn’t.
A: Have you tried practicing the lecture with English-speaking friends or colleagues? It might help you gain confidence in delivering it in English.
Me:I haven’t practiced the lecture with English-speaking friends or colleagues. In fact, I’ve recently left the English Academy.
A: Oh, I see. That's a big step. What made you decide to quit the English Academy?
Me: I’m getting married in May, so I have to move to Yangjae. The previous English academy is far away from my new home.
A: Congratulations on your upcoming marriage! Moving closer to your new home sounds like a practical decision. Have you started looking for a new job in the Yangjae area?
Me: I’m looking for a job, and If I go to an English Academy, I would need to be there just on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
A: Have you started looking for part-time positions at English academies in the Yangjae area?
Me: Yes, I have started looking for a part-time position at an English academy in the Yangjae area.
A: That's great to hear! How has the job search been going? Have you found any potential positions that interest you?
Me: I was a team leader of some English teachers, but now I just want to be an English teacher at the academy.
A: Have you found any English teacher positions that interest you at the academies you've been looking into?
Me: Yes, I have. I would only need to go there on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, or I have to work from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A: It's good that you found positions with the schedule you prefer. Have you had any interviews or received any offers for those positions yet?
Me: I haven’t had any interviews or received any offers for those positions yet, but I need to submit my resume now.
A: Sending out your resumes to the academies is a good plan. Highlight your experience as a team leader and teaching skills. Good luck!
Me: Thank you for your advice!
A: You're welcome! I'm here to support you. Let me know if there's anything else I can help with. Good luck with your job search!
Me: Thank you. So, if I go to the interview at the English Academy, they’ll have me teach a practical lecture to some students. I’m actually quite nervous.
A: Feeling nervous is normal, but remember to breathe, stay calm, and focus on showcasing your teaching skills. You've got this! I'm glad I could help. Remember, you're a great teacher and you have the skills to succeed. Believe in yourself and give it your best. Good luck!
Me: Thank you so much, I am now practicing speaking in English to build my confidence.
